Install for a defined workflow
Start with the business outcome, then install only the skills required for it. For example, an operations-review Agent may need one CRM skill and a reporting skill, while a customer-support Agent may need a help-desk skill and a shared communication channel. After installation, review the skill’s setup requirements. Complete them in the order shown; one step may depend on another.Complete the required setup
A skill can request several kinds of setup:- Setting: Enter a non-sensitive value such as a workspace name or default project.
- Choice: Select one of the options supported by the skill.
- Managed credential: Save an API key or other sensitive value through Vida’s credential controls.
- Authorization: Sign in through an authorization page or enter a displayed device code.
- File: Upload a required certificate, template, or reference file.
- Confirmation: Complete an external step that Vida cannot perform on your behalf.
Choose the correct credential scope
Use an Agent credential when only one Agent should receive it. Use an organization credential when multiple Agents are intentionally allowed to inherit the same value. An Agent-specific value takes precedence over an inherited organization value with the same ID. Keep names stable so skills and reusable helpers can request the intended credential without containing its value.Verify the real capability
A saved credential or completed sign-in is not enough by itself. Verify the skill again, confirm that no setup actions remain, and run a safe representative task. When setup fails:- Reopen the skill’s requirements.
- Confirm each dependency is complete.
- Check whether authorization expired or the connected account lacks permission.
- Reapply the managed credential if Vida reports deployment drift.
- Verify again before changing Agent instructions or restarting the Computer.
