Edit your Agent
Open your Agent and select Edit Agent from the left navigation. The editor organizes settings for instructions, intelligence, functions, apps, voice, language, and other capabilities. Change one area at a time when possible. Smaller changes are easier to test and make it clearer which setting affected the result.Test before publishing
Your edits stay in the prepared version until you publish them. Use the available preview and testing tools to confirm:- the greeting and instructions produce the expected behavior
- the selected voice and language sound natural
- connected functions and apps complete their work
- transfers, messages, and other side effects reach the correct destination
Save versions and run experiments
Save a named version before a major change when you may want to return to the current behavior. Versions can also be used to compare different Agent configurations in an experiment. Use experiments when you want real conversations distributed across multiple prepared versions. Review results before selecting the version you want to keep. An experiment should compare one meaningful change at a time and use the same reporting definitions across variants. Check sample size and denominator before drawing a conclusion.Publish
Publish only after the updated Agent passes testing. Publishing makes the prepared configuration live for new conversations. After publishing, place a real test call or send a test message through the same channel customers will use.Connect calls
An Agent also needs a phone number or SIP connection before it can receive phone calls. Use your organization and Agent settings to assign a managed number, connect a number you already own, or configure SIP service. Returning or disconnecting a number stops its current routing, so confirm the destination before making that change.Building an integration?
