# Launch and Manage Reseller Customers

> Build a repeatable reseller onboarding flow across organizations, Agents, plans, branding, billing, access, and support.

Eligible Vida resellers can package Agents into a branded customer offering and manage downstream
organizations from one workspace. Build the operating model once, test it with a designated
customer, and then make onboarding repeatable.

<Note>
  Reseller and partner capabilities are optional. An ordinary organization does not need a
  reseller account to create and operate its own Agents.
</Note>

## Understand the account structure

* A **reseller** owns its customer offering, branding, plans, defaults, and downstream organizations.
* A **customer organization** owns the Agent accounts used by that customer.
* An **internal organization** lets the reseller operate its own Agents without presenting it as a
  downstream customer subscription.
* Each **Agent account** owns one Agent's configuration, Tasks, communications, and optional
  Computer resources.

If a partner level is enabled, it can manage multiple resellers. Do not assume every reseller has a
partner parent.

## Prepare the reseller foundation

Before onboarding the first customer:

1. Configure the reseller name, brand, domain, email, links, and labels.
2. Decide which settings and features customers should receive by default.
3. Create the plans and usage model you intend to sell.
4. Connect and test Stripe or Chargebee when you will bill customers through Vida.
5. Create and test any Agent templates used during onboarding.
6. Invite the reseller team and restrict customer access where required.
7. Decide how support, escalation, billing questions, and account cancellation will be handled.

## Onboard one customer

1. Create a **customer organization** under the reseller.
2. Select the intended customer plan when billing is enabled.
3. Create the required Agent accounts or apply an approved Agent template.
4. Complete customer-specific Agent instructions, voice, functions, integrations, and reporting.
5. Invite customer members and verify their actual account view.
6. Connect phone, SMS, SIP, email, Computer, or web channels as required.
7. Test the complete customer workflow and publish the approved Agent configuration.
8. Confirm subscription status, access, usage visibility, and the support path.

Use a stable external customer ID when an API or another system participates in onboarding.

## Test the commercial workflow

Use a designated test customer to verify:

* plan selection and checkout
* successful and failed payment behavior
* upgrade, downgrade, cancellation, and renewal behavior that your provider supports
* included usage and supported overage handling
* customer access after subscription changes
* reseller usage and payout-related data

Do not test billing changes against an unrelated production customer.

## Operate the customer base

Review customer usage, Agent outcomes, Tasks, logs, and support issues at the appropriate account
level. Apply template or default changes deliberately; customer-specific behavior should not be
overwritten without review.
